**SPOILER** This movie is something of a cheat. We’re introduced to a group of strangers living in a boarding house, but these are really characters in a play which is being read by a playwright to his sweetie. All the characters in the play are loosely based on the real residents of the selfsame boarding house.
It’s a fast-paced murder mystery and includes a subplot, never fully developed, involving a mysterious Sikh. The subplot serves as a distraction from what’s really going on. I wasn’t very surprised by the ending. ** END SPOILER**
Acting is what I expected from this kind of film. No notable performances. I imagine the director really earned his pay.
I downloaded the MPEG4 file. The video quality is fair, showing compression artifacts on a 40” HD TV. The audio was better.

Shadows on the Stairs
Worth watching. Heather still excites my other brain. Ending might surprise, it did me.
